NARI Master Certified Remodelers (MCR®) are veteran Certified Remodelers who are recognized leaders by NARI — the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. MCRs have shown a dedication to the industry through leadership within their local NARI chapter or community and a commitment to professional development and continuing education. 

MCR represents the highest and most prestigious level of certification NARI offers. These professionals have been CRs for at least ten years, made valuable contributions to the industry and have withstood the test of time with continued success in business. Our General Contractor, Vince Busby, is one of just a few MCR's in the Charlotte, NC region.

NARI Certified Remodelers (CR^®) are recognized as highly-experienced remodeling professionals who provide a full range of remodeling services. CRs are well-rounded remodeling experts capable of managing all aspects of a remodeling project.

The CR Program tests for vital knowledge required to manage a successful, full-service remodeling company including:

• Understand business operations in order to build a strong company with solid financial management.
• Navigate building codes and communicate with code officials.
• Evaluate job sites and identify hidden defects and unknown conditions.
• Study sustainable remodeling practices and the latest building science advancements.
• Scrutinize the various trades on a remodeling project to confirm work is done correctly.

NARI Certified Remodeling Project Managers (CRPM^®) are recognized as competent remodeling professionals, well-versed in the operational and business aspects of remodeling projects with an emphasis on timely completion. In addition to being a MCR, our General Contractor, Vince Busby, is also a CRPM.

The CRPM program focuses on these fundamentals of remodeling project management:

• Project planning
• Project cost management
• Quality assurance
• Record keeping
• Communication and client satisfaction

NARI Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodelers (CKBR^®) are professionals who specialize in kitchen and bath remodeling projects. CKBRs have expertise in materials, layout and installation particular to kitchen and bath renovations, making them an indispensable resource to clients with these specific project needs. Our Principal Designer, Erin Dougherty, is a CKBR.

The CKBR Program addresses the fundamentals of managing kitchen and bath renovations:

• Understand business operations and procedures necessary to build an efficient company.
• Navigate building codes and communicate with code officials.
• Evaluate and identify defects in existing homes that may impact the remodel.
• Be proficient in kitchen and bathroom remodeling design.
• Scrutinize performance of various trade partners for quality control.

NARI Certified Remodeling Designers (CRD^®) are recognized as experienced design professionals dedicated to creating highly functional remodeling designs through close collaboration with project stakeholders and an elevated knowledge of remodeling principles. Our Principal Designer, Erin Dougherty, spent three years helping to develop this new certification!

The CRD Program addresses key concepts designers must master to develop functional and buildable remodeling designs:

• Develop functional designs within budget and the constraints of existing conditions.
• Collaborate with the production team to develop more functional designs.
• Discover the client’s true motivations and priorities to develop optimal design solutions.
• Evaluate existing conditions for more informed design to avoid issues during construction.
• Develop optimal layouts for kitchens, baths, and all other areas of the home.
• Select appropriate materials, fixtures, and appliances based on their intended use.

Our Principal Designer, Erin Dougherty, is a Certified True Colour Expert (TCE) which means she can guide you through all the color decisions for your remodel or custom home project. TCEs solve a variety of challenges with colors and finishes using the Killam Colour System which identifies color undertones and includes a curated collection of the most useful Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams paint colors.
